The Villa management arranged a 6 seater car and driver for us when we wanted to go touring around Bali at a cost of $45 per day - 10 hours all inclusive.This 5 bedrooms villa features a private swimming pool, air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suited bathrooms, a spacious living area as well as a fully equipped kitchen. No traffic noise here, just the sounds of the local fauna and activity at the village Temple to remind you where you are. Even as a broker, the commission that can be earned are astounding. One way or the other, you were tempted into the search for this oversized Tokay Gecko/Tokek. The price sky rocketed for the Tokay Gecko/Tokek of 400 grams, bearing a price of USD 44,000,000. The isolation of the Villa was fine for us but I imagine it wouldn't suit everyone. A Tokay Gecko/Tokek of 300 grams can fetch a whooping USD 8,000. Our children really enjoyed this part of their holiday, zipping along the through the local villages and rice fields. The villa is on is a reasonably quiet road so the trip to Echo Beach on scooters is relatively safe. The Villa is a 5 -10 minute scooter ride (or a 45 minute walk) from Echo Beach which has lots of good restaurants and shops.
More healthy choices would be an improvement. The breakfasts menu was very limited but adequate.
The staff are very friendly and helpful but didn't speak a lot of English which was awkward. The facilities are great and the building is reasonably new, though a few items could do with a carpenters attention, e.g. The Villa is huge as the photos on the web site show. The Villa sits in a rural area of Canggu and is surrounded by local homes and Rice fields. We stayed in the Bale Tokek Villa for 10 days - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. As I said in the title, you'll be treated like a God. Would I recommend this villa: ABSOLUTELY. when we wanted to go touring around Bali at a cost of 45 per day - 10 hours all inclusive. I loved the villa: having breakfast in the dining room, with the pool surrounding you on 2 sides, open views to the rice paddy and coconut trees in the distance, all the windows pushed back and open air: I'll miss this. One of our party became ill on the last evening, Kadek and Wayan assisted and made seeking help possible and we would have been in a pickle without them. If we needed anything, they would hop and out on their bikes and get groceries and meals for us. Always on hand to help, nothing ever an issue. The butlers Kadek and Wayan made this holiday one of the best I have ever experienced. Now that's the facts< Here's the experience. So private and quiet, yet only a short taxi drive to Seminyak etc. Location, well a little out of the way, but if you want to see and experience Bali away from the tourist Meccas, then this is perfect. Tastefully decorated: fantastic, and i mean it, fantastic pool (everyone loved the pool, great for both adults and kids). Spacious, airy and well designed for privacy. Have just enjoyed an amazing 9 days in this gorgeous villa.
